Portable Nintendo GameCube/Wii Ashida Custom Handheld Console
Portable Nintendo GameCube/Wii Ashida Custom Handheld Console
Up for sale here is a custom made portable hand held gaming console. Internally it's got a wii motherboard, 2x Samsung 21700 5000mAh batteries and USB-PD and USB C data transfer circuitry. The controls are made of an OEM Switch Smash Ultimate controller. The screen is a 5 inch IPS panel. It's also got 128GB of internal storage.
The Good:
This handheld uses a Homebrewed Nintendo Wii motherboard. What this means is that ALL Wii and Gamecube games run at full speed natively. You get the same gaming experience as if you had the consoles hooked up to a TV, except you can now take that experience anywhere you go. The ergonomics and controls feel great. The sticks feel perfect and the analog triggers work great. The screen looks fantastic and colors are vibrant. The unit supports USB-C PD, so you can plug in any PD compliant charger to get the unit charged up. You can also add roms/emulators by plugging in a USB-C cable into a computer and then into the handheld. The software loaded onto the unit is known as RVloader, which was made for handheld Wiis. Navigation is achieved with the C stick.
The Bad:
The unit lasts a little more than 3 hours and takes around 2 1/2 hours to fully charge. The fan's noise is pretty audible, though it can be mitigated by turning up the volume. The speakers can sound "boomy" if you max the volume. There is a missing screw and post (shown in picture 12). It lacks features that most handhelds have, such as sleep functionality and wifi/bluetooth.
Overall the unit works and plays quite nicely. I've put in about 10 hours or so into Super Mario Galaxy 2 and have had a blast. Controls feel great, the GameCube controller shell design is very comfortable to hold, and the battery life is at a spot where the unit isn't too heavy but provides more than enough play time for a given session. If you have any questions please message me and I'll reply ASAP!
If you'd like a video of the unit in action please message me and I'll send you a video. Also, if you'd like to purchase the unit at a cheaper price you can buy the unit straight from my site. Just message me.
Nothing but the handheld is for sale. I am open to offers and by no means is the listing price the price I plan to sell the unit at.
